Sleek, modern, and organic, this low-profile platter has been welded from scrap steel and discarded metal drops and throw-aways.The unwanted becomes the loved.

Much of the steel that Americans (including industry) throw away can be recycled, yet only about 70% of it actually ends up recycled. Every three months, the United States as a whole discards enough steel to completely rebuild Manhattan. This platter comes from mountains of twisted and mangled steel at a local scrap yard in Wisconsin. 

Each platter is unique and will vary slightly due to the hand made process and materials available.
