These brass bangles by The Caliber Collection are made from shell casings swept from crime scenes by the Newark (NJ) Police Department. The slightly oval bracelet is hammered into shape and carries a serial number that corresponds with one of the guns that were taken off the streets of Newark by the Police Department.
Since the pieces are handmade, no two are exactly alike.
A portion of the proceeds from each purchase is donated to fund Newark's Gun Buyback Amnesty program to get illegal weapons off the streets.

Each of the guns used in these products is carefully processed and released to The caliber Collection by the Newark Police Department. They are then shredded, and ready to be reborn. Also, their serial numbers were tracked, becoming an important part of the design in each of the pieces.
