This hanger is ridiculously easy and relatively foolproof!
One of my rescued items when a neighbor placed the contents of their storage shed on the curb was a TON of fabric that was made into a ribbon. (My apologies if this actually has an official term!)
If you don't happen to have something like that, consider cutting up an old t-shirt, sheet, or tablecloth into one long strip, and you have instant upcycled fabric ribbon!
This is ridiculously easy and relatively foolproof- a fun and easy craft for your kids to make as gifts! Fabric or tacky glue should work in lieu of hot glue, but hot glue is what I used.
Tools:
- Scissors
- Glue gun
Supplies:
- Plastic hanger
- Scrap fabric
- Glue sticks
- Starting at the tip of the hook, begin wrapping your fabric tightly around the hanger, ensuring that there is enough to completely cover the tip later.
- Continue to wrap around the entire hanger. As long as it is tightly wound, glue is not necessary until you reach the end (and glue the tip where you started).
- Once you have made your way all the around and ensured that all the plastic is covered, cut the fabric so that it will end on the back of the hanger.
- Glue both ends with your glue gun.
- Let set overnight, then enjoy the newest addition to your closet!
