Waste diversion at its finest!
If I had a better camera, you'd see how ugly this lamp really was before I rescued it. It had weird stains on it that I couldn't get off, some sticky substance that also wouldn't come off... but I loved the shape. It had potential!
Since I hadn't played with my magazine circles in a while, I decided that they would provide the proper makeover for this cute little find. If you haven't already made the magazine coasters or other projects yet, check them out!
Tools:

- Clear tape
- Quick dry craft glue
- Ugly lamp
- Before starting, figure out what size magazine circles will work best for your particular lamp. Part of this decision is the desired style, but if you have small areas like with my lamp, you'll need to plan accordingly. You can even use different sizes of circles for a funkier look!
- Make some magazine circles, following the magazine coaster tutorial. Simply stop winding once you arrive at your desired size, snip off the remainder of the paper, and tape or glue down the end with craft glue.
- Heat up your hot glue and begin adding the circles to one area of the lamp. Hold til set- a few seconds or so.
- Continue making circles and gluing them on until the lamp is covered. I alternated the two so I didn't waste any glue. Waste not, want not!
- Let set overnight.
- Cover with Mod Podge or other sealant.
- Let set overnight.
- Light up your life!
