Hey! Have a really cool upcycling DIY idea, or an opinion about upcycling? See a trend coming we should know about? Environmental or societal impacts of upcycling? We’d love to have you write for our blog!
Our goal is to continue to make our blog a source of information and education about all things upcycling, and we could use your help. What we are looking for:
- About 400-500 words on an upcycling topic
- A 50-word bio on you to include at the end of your post
- Must be original content. You can’t have used it somewhere else before it is published on the Hipcycle blog, or use it again somewhere else after it is on the blog. And, of course, it must be your own work. (However, you are welcome to link to the post from elsewhere on the web.)
- Pictures to help snazz it up are always welcome and appreciated, as are links to relevant articles or sources to help provide secondary sources of information for our readers.
What’s in it for you? Glad you asked:
- We’ll link to your website, Facebook page, or LinkedIn profile. Please understand that we can’t link to other e-commerce sites, and that we reserve the right to not link to any site we feel is not appropriate.
- We’ll promote your blog post on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
- You’ll build your writing portfolio and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are the bleeding edge of an industry of the future.
Interested? Send an e-mail with the following info:
- Your name
- Your 50-word bio
- What you want to write about (just a sentence is fine)
- What you want to link to.
If we agree that your idea is awesome, we’ll get back to you to get you on the editorial calendar for publication. By submitting a blog post to us, you agree that that content becomes the property of Hipcycle LLC (our lawyers made us say that last part.)
Thanks!

I just got off the phone after placing an order for some of your products and I'm interested in guest blogging for your site. It's an excellent fit.
I would most likely write about an artist/designer I know who creates some of the most gorgeous jewelry I've seen out of magazine bead and recycled chandelier crystals.
(I've attached a link to his Map of Ohio necklace)
