Hipcycle’s Top 11 Rejected Company Names

Posted on November 2, 2011 by Andrew

Because we love reusing things around here at Hipcycle, I thought I’d share with you some stuff that we shared on our Facebook page when we first launched it back in May. (Yup, reusing content and silliness are totally fair game!)

We try to have fun around here (in addition to bringing you great upcycled products) and that reaches to how we went about naming the company. We threw around a ton of naming ideas…some serious, and some not so serious. With that, I give you the top 12 rejected names (and logos) for Hipcycle:

    11: Curly Fish

    10: Ugly Bison

    9: Chicken Breath

    8: Heavy Shag

    7: Big Fly

    6: Apple Taco

5: Vulgar Gorilla (the uncensored one is funnier, but this is a family blog:))

    4: Raspy Moose

3: Wombat Hand Grenade (Little known fact: Wombat poops are cube shaped. Really. Go look it up.)

2: Generic Beer Holding Company (No, weren’t considering going into the brewery business. We just liked the randomness of it…and the look.)

1: Lumpy Space Goat (We actually like this one, so you may see it pop up from time to time. www.lumpyspacegoa.at)

There you have it. What's your favorite?
