Thank you all for your generous support of Hipcycle so far. Since I have left the corporate world, I have been working really hard on this project, but it has felt like vacation…I’m having that much fun! If anything, the weekends, which I try my best to keep for my friends and family, are the hardest from a work perspective. After two days off (or three days in the case of this independence day weekend), I’m itching so hard to dive right back into it that I can hardly stand it!
A special thanks to all of the Product Partners with whom I have spoken and e-mailed. The enthusiasm for the Hipcycle concept is overwhelming. It feels great knowing that I will be working with such passionate, enthusiastic people by offering their high-quality, attractive, and reasonably-priced upcycled products on Hipcycle. The selection of products is going to be truly fantastic.
As a new company, you have to wear every hat, and that has been a big part of the fun. If I get tired of merchandising, I can turn to marketing, web development, fulfillment, or any of the other million little jobs that need to get done. I believe that Hipcycle has a ton of fun, cool, and informative things to say, so I need to carve out more time to add blog posts. I have been building up a list of blog topics, but taking the time to sit down and write them is the challenge. From that perspective, this isn’t a “real” blog post – it’s not meaty enough!
Between now and Hipcycle’s fall launch, I’m trying to spread the word as far and as wide as possible, and I’d love your help! If you are reading this blog, share it or Hipcycle’s main web page on Twitter and Facebook. Become a fan of us on those two social media sites. Sign up for our newsletter here. And if you are into the RSS thing, you can subscribe to this blog by clicking the orange square in the upper right corner of the home page and have our posts come straight into your reader. I heard a talk by Guy Kawasaki recently, and he evangelized about “never leaving a click on the table,” so any help you can offer would be great!
As always, I welcome any comments you have in the section below, and again, thank you.

I'm really looking forward to your fall launch! I'm already making room in my house for some cool and affordable upcycled products. :)
