Product Description
Simple and functional design is what this piece is all about, and oh so subtly eye catching... "it's made outta what?!?"
Yup, three upcycled beer bottles. This piece gets it's name from the colloquial name given to the 22 oz. "Bomber" bottles from which they are made.
This mighty fine platter is crafted by firing the bottles a total of three times in an industrial kiln at 1500º Fahrenheit:
- The first firing flattens the bottles to a 1/4" thickness.
- The second firing fuses the bottles together.
- The third firing slumps the fused bottles over a mold to give the edges a slight curve.
The end result is a platter that makes a great chip dish or fantastic fruit bowl. Looks great on your coffee table or home bar.
